Ready Player One by Ernest Cline

Another one of the most fantastic pieces of sci-fi I've read. The movie, although obviously lacking with respect to the book, was pretty damn good too.

Different Seasons by Stephen King

This is my all time favourite and contains the story of The Shawshank Redemption (coincidentally my favourite movie). It's my go-to recommendation when someone doesn't know what genre they want to read but do want to pick up a book.

The Outsider by Stephen King

I found the ending a bit weak, but other than that, thoroughly enjoyed this book.

We Learn Nothing by Tim Kreider

This book is a collection of essays (creative non-fiction) so I was *very* surprised when I realised I liked the premise. I haven't gotten myself a copy yet, but fully intend to.
